Children are naturally self-directed in their learning. They want to learn from each other in a relevant setting. If you believe they need a teacher to learn, you must ask yourself, “Who is teaching them how to use, the gadgets they carry in their pockets?”
I am so very proud of being a teacher that I have reinvented my job. I no longer simply teach from within four walls but have created a global classroom. I travel the world teaching and learning and use technology to invite national and global experts into my lessons. I have infused every one of my passions into my teaching philosophy. I use my teacher’s heart to further education worldwide. I enjoy my students and I am lucky to be able to interact with them in and out of school.
I can no longer teach in a vacuum. I have become addicted to networking, learning and collaborating with my peers
“It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.” ~Bilbo
The purpose of life is not to be happy – but to matter, to be productive, to be useful, to have it make some difference that you have lived at all. ~Leo Rosten
